There is good news for the users of photo-messaging app Snapchat. The company on Friday announced a partnership with the community-based platform Skillenza. The online hackathon opened Lens Studio to use Augmented Reality (AR) Experience with national participation.
Lens Studio is a free desktop app launched by Snapchat in 2017, which provides the necessary tools and templates to create digital skills, lenses and share them on Snapchat.
Since its launch, more than 9 lakh lenses have been made by this community worldwide. It will help to enhance the experiences available on Snapchat.
The strategy and business development lead of Snapchat, Juhi Bhatnagar, said that over the past year we have worked closely with high school and college students across India, who teach students about digital skills through Lens Studio workshops. Lense Studio is taking another step forward in that direction.
All Lanceton participants will have the opportunity to participate in a webinar to learn lens manufacturing from the experts of the lens team on Snapchat. The creators of the most creative and original lenses will have the chance to win the Cash Prize, Swag, and Snap Spectacles as well as join the official lens manufacturer program.
