How to Share Files From One Computer to Another

Nowadays Computer has become a very important device of our life. The utility of computers is increasing day by day in our life. The computer has now become a device without which we cannot even imagine our life.

Nowadays all the work is being done by the Computer. When you work in an office, company, or bank, there will be many computers, and you will need to share files or any data between those computers.

So today in this article I will teach you How You Can Share Files Between Two Computers?

There are many ways to share files from one computer to another, one of the best way is a Lane Cable, which we also call Ethernet Cable, it is used to connect computers, with the help of the Network, Switch, or Hub. Two computers are connected to each other, after that, you can send any file from one computer to another.

First of all, connect the two computers between which you want to share the data or files with the lane cable.

Now we will name the computers. Like Computer 1 and Computer 2 to understand.

Now you have to do their network and sharing settings like following:

  1. First, go to the Control panel.
  2. After this, click on Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Then click on Change advance sharing center.
  4. Now click on Public Network.
  5. After completing the above steps, under Public folder sharing, select “Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the public folder” option.
  6. Under Password protected sharing, select the Turn Off Password Protected Sharing option.
  7. Now save the settings by clicking on Save Changes.

Setting up Ethernet in Computer 1:

  1. First, you go to the Control panel.
  2. After this, click on Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Then double click on Ethernet
  4. Now click on Properties
  5. Double click on Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP / ipv4).
  6. Now you will have the option to use the following IP address, you have to select it, after that you have to put the IP address given below.
  • Put in the ip address column
  • Put in a subnet mask
  • Add to Default Gateway
  • Put in the prefered DNS server

Finally, click on OK and Save the settings.

Setting up Ethernet in Computer 2:

Now you have to double click on Ethernet of Computer 2, after that, you have to go to Properties, here you have to double click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / ipv4), now you have to enter the IP address as follows:

  • Enter in the IP address column
  • Put in a subnet mask
  • Add to Default Gateway
  • put in the prefered DNS server

After this, Click Ok and Save the settings.

After all the settings are done, you can now share the file easily.

Now go to My Computer, click on the Network, you will see both computers, which means that your computer is connected to each other, now you can share the files easily.

Steps to Share the Files:

  1. Now right-click on any file you want to share.
  2. Then select Share Option.
  3. Then click on the Specific People Option
  4. Now select Everyone Option
  5. Then click on Add
  6. Then click share

In this way, you can share any files from one Computer to another.
